Due to an internal promotion we are delighted to announce that we are looking to recruit an Employability and Skills Lead where you will be leading and developing the strategic delivery of our Better Days Employability and Skills Programmes across our communities. This role is key to providing our customers with essential support to deal with life's changes and improving their skills to fulfil their potential. Your key responsibilities will be to: Develop and manage our existing portfolio of our employability and skills programmes Manage the budgets across the portfolio Produce reports and data on the performance and impact of our programmes Ensure our approached are sector leading and deliver impact whilst assuring quality and compliance Drive the promotion of good practice in advice delivery including service models, quality assurance processes, governance, monitoring, evaluation and referral pathways Work closely with internal teams to ensure that local support provided around employability and skills is well aligned and integrated with other offerings Lead on developing our employability and skills offer by providing training, advice and support to develop new initiatives Collate information on challenges, good practice and key considerations to identify and develop additional resource Lead on the development and implementation of an employability and skills offer Work with regional and local level partnerships to help tackle localised social issues Broker partnerships with external providers and/or commissioning activity to help deliver employability and skills services Provide strategic direction and support as a subject matter expert What will help you make a difference. To be successful in this role of Employability and Skills Lead you will need to have proven experience in managing employability and skills projects and programmes with a track record of delivering results. You will also need to be an expert communicator with the ability to build effective networks and partnerships that lead to revenue generation/funding with increased outcomes for customers. It is also essential that you have: Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of relevant government strategy around employability and skills Excellent project and contract management skills Excellent IT skills including use of Microsoft Office packages Ability to write and present reports, communicating effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders Willingness to travel across sites with some overnight stays required We know that an inclusive environment makes us more accessible and ensures we attract, engage, promote and retain great people.
