Our Client, a major Energy operator, is looking for a Financial Planning Analyst on a permanent basis in London.

Purpose of Role:
â Support the maintenance of the Group Corporate model including the asset update process and provision of economic support for business decision making
â Be a shared resource across the Planning & Economics wider team to support execution of key tasks

MAE/MATTE and HSE Critical Responsibilities:
â Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Client HSEQ procedures
â Be aware of the policies and procedures

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence Level:
â Provide a proficient alternative to running the Group Corporate model with the ability to undertake sensitivity analysis such as oil and gas prices, interest rates, inflation and FX
â Support the Long Range Plan (LRP) process, which includes ensuring the Corporate model is consistent with outputs from the business unit
â Collate and provide long-term forecast inputs for monthly Board reporting and other ad hoc requests from the wider organisation
â Ad hoc economic analyses
â Assist in the preparation and review of Group Corporate Investment Standard including: oil and gas pricing, foreign exchange outlooks, emission price assumptions
â Support refinancing processes, including that of current debt facilities any new capital structure
â Carry out analysis in relation to financing implications of any proposed acquisitions and disposals on the existing RBL borrowing base
â Support review of economic modelling for the annual reserves certification process
â Carry out variance analysis between internal cases and the latest competent persons' report including roll forward of valuation dates
â As part of career development, provide support to business units directly by assisting with their bi-annual preparation and/or other ad-hoc projects
â Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager

Critical Skills, Qualifications Experience, etc.:
â A strong relevant core discipline skill (engineering, subsurface, economics, commercial or finance)
â Fast-learner with a self-starter mind set, ability to pick up new concepts effectively and work autonomously when required
â Strong analytical skills in Microsoft Excel
â Communicates effectively and appropriately
â An awareness of oil and gas project economics including fiscal terms
â An understanding of the oil and gas exploration, appraisal, development and production cycle
â Ability to pick up financial modelling concepts in Microsoft Excel with a keen eye for detail
â Experience generating key economic metrics (NPV, IRR, PIR etc.)
â Well organised and ability to prioritise tasks independently
