Manufacturing Engineer

Primary Function

Directs, coordinates, and exercise functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Interacts with other disciplines to develop product standards, routers, manufacturing process designs and cost/capacity planning and estimating under minimal direction.

Essential Functions

  • Plan, formulate a direct engineering projects within budget guidelines.
  • Analyze Customer input and proposed product specifications to determine feasibility proposal.
  • Develop and conduct test programs to evaluate product performance.
  • Analyze preliminary design to insure integrity using stress, dimensional and chemical analysis.
  • Use computer Aided Design and Analysis to create product models and evaluate designs.
  • Participate in industry committee activities.
  • Assign and direct personnel to specific phases or aspects of projects.
  • Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications and drawings.
  • Direct activities concerned with technical developments and testing, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test issues for new and mature products.
  • Interact with other disciplines to develop product standards, routers, manufacturing process designs and cost/capacity planning and estimating.
  • Interact with Sales and Customers to provide application support for new and mature products.
  • Provide training to other employees on job process, procedures and functions.
  • Interact with all the department of the facility and with outside suppliers, vendors and customers.
  • Keep work area clean, safe and in orderly fashion on daily basis.
  • Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and practices. Report all unsafe activities to Supervisor, and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team effort to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Conduct product testing and prepare comprehensive technical reports utilizing reasonable analysis, such as, statistical analysis, machine capability, etc.
  • Prepare and conduct presentations to a various size group as needed
  • Provide leadership to others through example and the sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's Degree from four year college or university in an Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum five (5) years related experience in engineering; preferred seven (7) years experience
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
