If you are a driven engineer keen to progress and see the best processes followed this role should attract youYour New RoleWhilst on shift, working as a mechanical maintenance engineer your core role is to service and maintain machinery, equipment and facilities to ensure maximum reliability and effective performance of the site in addition to carrying out any PPM as required.Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Facilitate a speedy response to all plant stoppages / Ensure planned preventative maintenance schedules are maintained in accordance with current requirements / Ensure working to site specific hygiene requirements including PPE, Technical handback procedures etc. / Ensure correctly completed paperwork is processed in a timely manner for all work undertaken / Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions / Ensure effective and detailed handovers are provided at all times / Provide effective and detailed handovers to colleagues and Manager / Assist with the installation of new equipment, as and when required / Plan and implement modifications of new and existing equipment / Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure efficiency of projects / Work within the permit to work system on site / Attend internal and external training courses to ensure technical and professional skills are maintained /Source and suggest alternative suppliers to ensure the most cost-effective supplier / Carry out and comply with all company policies, procedures and instructions and any other reasonable duties deemed necessary by the companyWhat You'll Need To SucceedEssential requirements for this role include: Must be a Time/Skill-Served Mechanical Engineer with Industrial Experience./ Must have experience of Welding (i.e. gas, Tig and electric) / Must have experience of Fabrication / Experience in the use of Hydraulics and Pneumatics / Must have experience of Mechanical Drive Systems / Good diagnostic and problem- solving skills / Good organisation and reasoning ability / Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.What You'll Get In ReturnFor working on a continental shift basis (2 weeks on days, 2 weeks on nights rotation) you will earn a competitive salary of £41300 with sufficient scope to enhance with an enhanced OT rate of 1.5.
