12 month Fixed-term Payroll Officer position

My client is based in Leeds in an accessible area. They are in the not for profit and charities sector so they are a great organisation to work for. They are respected as for the work they do for the community. For the Payroll Officer position, you will be joining the small Finance team on a 12-month contract.
The responsibilities of the Payroll Officer position are as follows: You will be outsourcing the payroll to a third-party organisation, recruitment within the organisation with new starters, managing the data archive, and some administration/hr duties. This role is a really all rounded position, but they have said there is scope to get involved in more general finance duties such as expenses and petty cash.
A successful candidate will have to have had exposure to payroll in the past before or hr assistant duties. They are needing someone accurate who can work to tight deadlines, good communication skills both written and verbal, good with spreadsheets, and can work alongside the Finance team.

- Salary - £22,000- £24,000
- 37 hours a week
