Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant, having worked with children that have ASD, SEMH and some challenging behaviours? If so, this role could be ideal for you.
Our School based in West Sussex are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to support primary aged students with SEN including ASD, social and emotional needs and some challenging behaviours.
You will be using behaviour management strategies to contribute to a purposeful learning environment, providing support for individual students to enable them to fully participate in lessons and activities.
This is a lovely residential SEN School for boys that are unable to attend mainstream Schools for a variety of different reasons. There are several great facilities at the School such as a spacious playground, arts and crafts room and a gym to name a few. The School also offer full restraint training for all staff.
What we need from you:
Experience and desire to work in a SEN School
Be able to work full time
Registered DBS or be prepared to carry out a new DBS
Experience in dealing with challenging behaviours
